Military Support Group of Alachua County

Hello all - We had a wonderful day Saturday and raised more than $17,000.00.  We had a great group of people working and the participants in the golf tournament were generous and had a great time. I am not going to take Kim and Jim's fire by talking about it too much so you will have to come to the meeting on Thursday and hear the news.  Rich and Donna took pictures and Rich is making one of his special videos. I wonder if he will have a deal if we buy 2 - I hope so.

A great big THANK YOU to Jim and Kim for all the work they did - they are so gracious, hard working and humble! You both make it look easy and we know it is a lot of work.

Thank you to Kay Quinn Ward, Sandy Golden, Jan Leavitt, Leigh Williams and Leslie Torres for all the work they did to get items donated for the raffles and the wonderful job they did decorating the banquet room and displaying the items. It looked so professional! I know who I want when I need something to look good! Also, a special thanks to Sandy and Leigh for doing all the thank you notes!

Thanks to Stephen Cade and Hills BarBQue for the terrific food. That was a gourmet meal - chicken and salmon - if you weren't there, you missed it!. And, thanks Stephen for all the sponsors and donations that you generated.

Thanks to Pam Krueger for all her work coordinating the band and and all the little things she did to make this happen.

A special thanks to everyone who got up extra early to set up - Glen and Shea Hagan, the Osborns, Roxanne Watkins and Donna and Mike Bradley. They were there all day and helped clean up at the end.

And to all the members of the Military Support Group who were there to from early til the very end,  thank you for all your hard work. It was fun and great to share through a day of  working together for a common cause. It takes every one of us to make this group a success and we all do it together. We are Supporting Our Troops!!

See you Thursday - Linda
